The middle brother was Gotthilf Carl. Whether or not he was born on the same estate as his older brother isn't known (yet). He lists his place of birth simply as the village of Birkholz. 

In about 1840 he married Marie C. Lenz. They had 6 children before they immigrated to the Santa Clara area of Guadalupe County, Texas. It is not certain exactly when he immigrated to America. Most probably he came over the same time as his younger brother. I have been unable to find a listing for Gotthilf Carl or Marie in the census to see if I could find out more info. Did they live with one of his daughters or sons?

I don't know much about these Schievelbeins. I'm sure the cousins kept in close contact after they first got to Texas, but by the time I arrived on the scene and several generations had past, the family referred to them as "the other Schievelbeins" or the "Marion Schievelbeins".

Is there anyone from this lineage who can help me? It would be appreciated.
