~ Wilhelm Christian Schievelbein ~

 

Wilhelm Christian was the eldest of the seven  Schievelbein siblings. His father must have worked for a property owner since he was born on the Gruenberg estate near the village of Birkholz in Pommerania, Prussia, Germany. 

In about 1840 he married Maria Christiane Koepke.
It is said that they had 9 children. Three of which possibly died as children in Germany before they immigrated to Gosper County / Arapahoe, Furnas County, Nebraska, USA in 1874.  

What brought them to Nebraska is unknown.
